CameraAwesome

1. Camera Awesome (Get it for your android) $2.99

Camera Awesome might just be the best combination of photo app and editor available. After getting an enviable amount of users on iOS, SmugMug’s official editor app is now available on Android, complete with a surprisingly intuitive interface (even if it is an iOS copy) and a ton of filters and editing options. Once you’re finished messing with your shot, you can upload it to basically every popular social and photo site. Got a Tegra 4 machine? Then you’ve also got access to stylus support, slo-mo video, and enhanced HDR.

SolCalendar

2. SolCalendar – Android Calendar (Get it for your android) Free

SolCalendar is a beautiful alternative to the standard Android/Google calendar, and not just because of its functional interface or pastel color scheme. This app actually makes good use of the cutesy sticker feature, letting you easily spot important days and events at a glance. Even the homescreen widget (an essential for any calendar app) is drop-dead gorgeous. Not a Google Calendar user? No fear: the app will sync with any CalDev compatible platform.

Strata

3. Strata Free (Get it for your android) Free

Strata is a very cleverly designed puzzle game. The play area is a grid and over this you lay ribbons across the columns and rows trying to match the colour of the ribbon to the squares beneath. The tricky part is that the ribbons overlap and the top ribbon’s colour is the one that must match the square below it. Like most games in the puzzle genre it starts off fairly easy, but becomes progressively more complex and more addictive.

gcloudbackup

4. G Cloud backup (Get it for your android) Free

Phones get lost, stolen and misplaced every single day. In this hectic life we’re leading, it’s hard to remember where you placed your keys, so having a backup plan is always a must! You can get up to 10GB of free storage, and with the new update, G Cloud 3.0 grants you web view access and many more new features. If you want to backup all your app&game settings just download the key for rooted from here!

Soundwave

5. Soundwave (Get it for your android) Free

Soundwave is an app that aims to help you find new music to listen to. That’s not exactly a revolutionary concept in the world of apps, but it takes a more social approach than many of its competitors and even allows you to check out what some celebrities are into, including good old Steve Wozniak, who is a big fan of the app.

SquareHub

6. SquareHub (Get it for your android) Free

SquareHub is the private social network that makes everyday communication fun and functional for everyone in your family. Send private messages and photos, coordinate activities, manage schedules and share those spontaneous moments of joy with just your family!

Streambels

7. Streambels AirPlay/DLNA Player (Get it for your android) Free

Non-compatible standards suck. Streambels makes them suck a little bit less, at least if the ones you’re using are AirPlay or DLNA. The app will stream audio or video to any DLNA or AirPlay receiver (including AppleTV), along with XBMC and Raspbmc. If that’s not enough, it’s also got a fantastic interface, complete with a handful of themes. You can stream video from YouTube or Facebook, but everything else will need to be stored locally.

Course123

8. Courses123 – language learning (Get it for your android) Free

The Courses123 application gives a perfect opportunity to learn a foreign language (you can choose from English, German, Spanish, French and Italian) with the use of modern technologies. Our application, equipped with the latest and the best solutions, will allow you to learn words effectively and practice their pronunciation.

500Firepaper

9. 500 Firepaper (Get it for your android) Free

This app replaces your static Android wallpaper with a rotating selection of entries on 500px. If you want something interesting behind your icons and widgets without the battery-draining drawback of a live wallpaper, this is it. The settings let you set an update interval, but unfortunately, 500px terms will keep you from saving individual pictures or keeping the same wallpaper for more than one day.

FCC

10. FCC Speed Test (Get it for your android) Free

The FCC Speed Test app accurately measures your mobile broadband performance and displays an in-depth view of its factors (e.g. download and upload speed, latency and packet loss).
